2 Christmases and an Engagement

Before I get too deep in collegiate and career orientated blogging for the next semester, I want to back track. The holidays may be over but the memories made will last a life time.

My fiancé (yes, you read that right) flew to Minnesota for two weeks and in that time we managed to celebrate Christmas with his family and with mine, watch the Gopher Hockey team squash Boston College in a 8-1 blowout, go on a little road trip, downhill ski and snowboard, attend a handful of parties, shop at the Mall of America, watch The Hobbit in theaters, visit my cabin, have him try Chipotle & Qdoba for the first time, play plenty of board/card games and have lots of down time. The last of which is probably both our favorites since we can never seem to get enough of that. We (he) even managed to squeeze in an intimate, beautiful engagement. I couldn’t be more blessed to have this amazing guy in my life.

I could go on forever about those two weeks, but instead I’ll leave you with a couple snippets of our holiday adventures and engagement photos.

Ohh, Kansas. There’s no place like in a car with the love of your life leaving Christmas with one family to celebrate with the next.

“You’ll need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips. Airplanes and passports and new songs and old songs, but people more than anything else. You will need other people and you will need to be that other person to someone else, a living breathing screaming invitation to believe better things.”
